How a Ducted Air conditioning Perth reverse cycle system works
Below is a video showing the inner working of a reverse air conditioning unit also know as a heat pump.
How a ducted reverse cycle air conditioning system Works
A ducted reverse cycle system has two parts first part is a indoor unit which is call a fan coil, the fan coil unit is located in your roof space. The fan coil unit has 2 take off’s coming from it, one know as the supply and the other know as the return.
The supply side has large diameter lengths of flexible ducting connected to it which runs through out your home connecting to smaller diameter lengths of flexible ducting by means of a y piece, in turn connecting to the air diffusion place in each room. The air passes through the various lengths of flexible ducting spread through out your home heating and cooling.
From there the air in collected through a return air grill which is place generally in a central position with in your home. The return air grille has flexible ducting connected to it by means of a return air box, which is then connect to the return air side of the fan coil and the whole process starts again.
The other part of a ducted reverse cycle air conditioning system is the condenser or heat pump and is located out side your home with lengths of copper piping connecting it to the fan coil unit. Essentially the condenser unit does all the heating and cooling and the fan coil unit does the moving of air.
